CBD Q and A
What is CBD?
CBD is one of the 104 chemical compounds known as cannabinoids found in the cannabis or marijuana plant, Cannabis sativa. CBD is not psychoactive.
Because CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant, many people assume that using CBD is the same as using marijuana. However CBD is actually non-psychoactive cannabinoid.
What part of the plant is used for Spark Naturals CBD oil?
We utilize the most potent parts of the plant including flowers and leaves.
What strain of Cannabis does our CBD come from?
The specific strain is called Wild Bourbon and is a Sativa-dominant hybrid bred for its high CBD and low THC percentages and uplifting effects.
Can I test positive on drug test while taking CBD?
Full Spectrum CBD with 0.3% THC contains trace amounts of THC, less than 0.3% which is the federally allowable legal limit. Because the percentage of THC is so minimal it is very unlikely for a positive test result.
What does Full Spectrum mean?
Full spectrum hemp oil is full of the terpenes, cannabinoids, flavonoids, fatty acids found in hemp, all of which have therapeutic value of their own and help create what’s known as the entourage effect.
How does it work?
The endocannabinoid system is activated by introducing cannabinoids to the bloodstream. The safest and most universally-legal way to experience endocannabinoid system support is to try CBD oil.
Does CBD make you high?
CBD is an entirely different compound from THC, and its effects are very complex. It is not psychoactive, meaning it does not produce a "high"; or change a person's state of mind, but it influences the body to use its own endocannabinoids more effectively.
