Description: Myrrh is a resin extracted from the myrrh tree (or shrub) found in the Middle Eastern region of the world. After the tree is pierced it omits a natural oleoresin, which is a pale yellow color liquid that hardens into brown and reddish drops known as Myrrh.
Properties: Anti-inflammatory, Antimicrobial, Antiseptic, Astringent, Carminative, Sedative, Digestive and Pulmonary Stimulant
Historical Uses: Myrrh (mentioned in the bible) has been used for thousands of years in aromatherapy. Arabic people thought it to help rehydrate the skin from cracking or aging.
