Rosemary Essential Oil For Hair

Rosemary not only has it been clinically shown to be effective for hair growth, but it also has the ability to strengthen the strands that you already have. Here is a list of benefits:

1. Massage directly into scalp

Mix 5 drops of Rosemary essential oil with one teaspoon of carrier oil (like Jojoba oil), apply directly to the scalp and massage the scalp for a couple of minutes and let oil sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing off. May also be left overnight.

2. Add to your shampoo

You can add Rosemary essential oil to your shampoo or conditioner and use as usual. Remember to use about 5 drops of oil per ounce of product. Or you can add 2 drops to the palm of your hand with shampoo before use.

Who can use Rosemary Essential oil?

Rosemary essential oil can be used on any hair type because the benefits target the hair follicle, not the hair strand. It is safe to use on color-treated hair, especially because its main use should be directly on the scalp.

If you have sensitive skin, it is recommended doing a small patch test first and waiting 24 hours to see if any irritation occurs.

Final thoughts

Treating hair loss doesn’t happen overnight, period! However, you can rely on natural methods to help you along the process, as Rosemary oil. It might not be for everyone, but it does have research and derm-backed benefits behind it.
