Description: Scotch Pine essential oil exudes a crisp, fresh, woody, evergreen scent. Scotch Pine, also known as Pine essential oil, is believed to have cleansing, stimulating, uplifting, and invigorating effects. Recipes

MASSAGE BLEND: Blend 4 drops of pine oil to 1 ounce of carrier oil, then massage into affected area to relieve sore and tight muscles. 

CLARIFYING FACE SERUM: Blend 1-3 drops of Pine oil with 1 teaspoon of a lightweight carrier, such as Almond oil. Apply to cleansed face. 

DETOXIFYING BATH: Dilute 5-10 drops of Pine oil with 1 ounce of carrier and add it to a bath of warm water. 

Description: Be truly "At Peace" as you sit back, relax, and breathe in the tranquility this blend brings to any space. This blend can help promote relaxation, peacefulness, a clear mind, anxiety relief, and overall calmness.

Citronella – cymbopogon nardus

Description: There are two types of citronella commonly sold as essential oil. Spark Naturals uses the Ceylon variety, which is the variety that has historically been used and is generally regarded as being superior. Citronella is an herbaceous perennial scented grass that grows wild and cultivated in tropical areas to heights of a meter or taller. It is yellowish-brown with a strong, tart, earthy and lemony scent. 

Properties: Antidepressant, Anti-fungal, Antiviral, Insecticidal, Anti-inflammatory, Diuretic, Stomachic, Astringent, Antispasmodic, Stimulant, and Antiseptic. 

Historical Uses: Used historically for digestive complaints, parasites, canker sores, pain relief, and detoxification. 

Uses: 

Along with insect repellent, Citronella is also widely used in soapmaking, household disinfectants, deodorant, perfume, and as an ingredient in hair and massage oils (especially for oily hair).

Nontoxic Bug Spray:

10 drops Citronella essential oil

10 drops lemongrass essential oil

10 drops tea tree essential oil

Top off with 1:1 water/witch hazel in a 4 oz bottle. Shake and spray to keep bugs away.

Hormones roller blend

10 drops Clary Sage

5 drops Lavender

5 drops Ylang Ylang

5 drops Frankincense

Add to a 10ml roller and top with fractionated coconut oil. roll-on the bottom of feet every night.

Description: Distilled from the leaves of a small evergreen herb, wintergreen has a sweet minty scent.

Properties: Antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, antiseptic, analgesic, disinfectant, anticoagulant, vasodilator and stimulant (bones).

Historical uses: Wintergreen is most commonly known for its flavoring uses. Native Americans chewed on wintergreen to help with respiration and to increase endurance. Wintergreen is also very high in methyl salicylate; which is the same component in aspirin.

Possible uses:

The best and safest way to use wintergreen is to mix or dilute with other essential oils, bases, carriers or creams. Wintergreen should never be taken internally and should always be kept out of the reach of children.

Description: Myrrh is a resin extracted from the myrrh tree (or shrub) found in the Middle Eastern region of the world. After the tree is pierced it omits a natural oleoresin, which is a pale yellow color liquid that hardens into brown and reddish drops known as Myrrh.

Properties: Anti-inflammatory, Antimicrobial, Antiseptic, Astringent, Carminative, Sedative, Digestive and Pulmonary Stimulant

Description: Uses for Spark Naturals Nutmeg Essential Oil

PAIN REDUCER: Nutmeg oil is very useful for treating muscular and joint pain as it is an excellent sedative. It is also anti-inflammatory, so massaging nutmeg oil on the affected area is an effective treatment for arthritis, rheumatism, and lumbago. RELIEVES MENSTRUAL CRAMPS: Nutmeg is helpful with menstrual cramps and irregularities and it can also help with mood swings, depression, and hormone imbalance.

Description: Clear to light yellow in color, Fennel has a sweet earthy smell and has a high ORAC score.

Vanilla Essential Oil - Vanilla Planifolia 100% Pure Undiluted

Extraction Method: Oleoresin (not technically an essential oil). 

• Vanilla oleoresin is not technically an essential oil since it cannot be produced by steam distillation or mechanically extracted from the plant. The solvents are removed from vanilla extract to produce vanilla oleoresin.

Description: Juniper Berry essential oil come from the coniferous tree. It has strong natural cleansing properties both internally and externally. Juniper Berry has a balsamic, spicy woody smell.

Clear Skin Toner:

6 drops Geranium essential oil

This is a reference to the golden color of many of the flowers from this botanical genus. Helichrysum has been used since the time of the ancient Greeks for its great wound healing ability, and was used often after battles.

Uses: 

Due to its Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Allergenic properties Helichrysum is great for inflamed skin, eczema and dermatitis. Use topically for the preceding issues along with any potential bruises following injury. 

Helichrysum is also amazing in fighting respiratory conditions, diffuse to help with sinus- infections, bronchitis and spasmodic coughing. 

Dilute with a few ounces of liquid or use in gelatin capsules and consume to help with circulatory functions, improve hearing and stimulate liver cell function. 

Blends well With: Roman Chamomile, Lavender, Clary Sage, Clove and most Citrus Oils

Recipes: 

Anti-inflammatory Massage Blend:

4 drops Helichrysum essential oil

2 drops Myrrh essential oil

6 drops Ginger essential oil

6 drops Blue Tansy essential oil

7 drops Patchouli essential oil

2 ounces Fractionated coconut oil

Directions: In a clean, dry pump bottle, add together all of the essential oils. Mix and blend by gentle shaking. Add in the carrier oil in portions, shaking the bottle gently after each addition. Once you’ve mixed in all of the carrier oil, you can now use this blend by massaging onto inflamed muscles, joints or other swollen, painful areas.
