Fennel - foeniculum vulgare

Description: Clear to light yellow in color, Fennel has a sweet earthy smell and has a high ORAC score.

Properties: aperitif, antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, depurative, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, galactagogue, laxative, stimulant, stomachic, splenic, tonic and vermifuge

Historical uses: Fennel has been used for digestive uses such as flatulent constipation, nausea, vomiting, and hiccups. It also has been used in weight loss as it creates a "full feeling" and has a diuretic effect. It has also been know to help disperse cellulite, increase insufficient milk in nursing mothers.

5 drops Lemon

1 drop Fennel

Congestion Diffuser Blend

3 drops Peppermint essential oil

2 drops Eucalyptus essential oil

2 drops Melaleuca essential oil

1 drop Lemon essential oil

ACV Conditioner Blend for Dandruff

6-8 drops Eucalyptus

1 Tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar

1 Cup Water

Blend water and ACV, add eucalyptus oil to the mix. After shampooing hair apply blend to hair and scalp and massage in. Let blend sit in hair for about 2 minutes, rinse with water. Vinegar smell will diminish as hair dries.

Cypress cupressus sempervirens“

Description: Cypress is a perennial tree that is found in the Mediterranean region. It has a wood and masculine smell, with evergreen foliage. The oil is obtained from the needles and twigs of young branches by steam distillation.

Properties: Antiseptic, Astringent, Deodorant, Diuretic, Sedative and Vasoconstrictor

Historical Uses: Cypress has be used to enliven and regulate the flow of blood in the body and has been beneficial to conditions such as varicose veins, nosebleeds and heavy bleeding during menstruation. It is also calming in nature and may help calm nerves, irritations and relieve stress.

Recipes:

Swollen Feet and Ankles Relief

6 drops Cypress essential oil

6 drops Lavender essential oil

6 drops Lemongrass essential oil

6 drops Grapefruit essential oil

1/4 cup Carrier Oil

Mix all oils in a glass bottle and roll between the palm of your hands to blend. Apply a nickel size amount to the palm of your hands and massage on your feet and ankles in long strokes up towards your heart. 

Varicose and Spider Veins

3 drops Cypress essential oil

2 drops Wild Orange essential oil

3 drops Lavender essential oil

2 tablespoons Carrier Oil of choice

Mix all the ingredients above in a small glass bottle. Apply to the legs twice daily, massaging the oil mixture in well, moving in the direction of the heart to improve blood flow and reduce the appearance and discomfort of spider and varicose veins.

Copaiba COPAIFERA OFFICINALIS

Description: Derived from the resin of trees native to South America Copaiba is a great oil for aromatherapy and cosmetic applications.

Properties: Anti-inflammatory, cicatrizing, disinfectant, emollient, astringent, expectorant, diuretic, hypotensive & Anti Irritant

Clove eugenia caryophyllata

Description: The Spark Naturals Clove Bud oil has a spicy, pleasant aroma. It is warm, sweet, peppery and candy-like. The scent is similar to the common household spice but is also a great Antioxidant.

Citronella – cymbopogon nardus

Description: There are two types of citronella commonly sold as essential oil. Spark Naturals uses the Ceylon variety, which is the variety that has historically been used and is generally regarded as being superior. Citronella is an herbaceous perennial scented grass that grows wild and cultivated in tropical areas to heights of a meter or taller. It is yellowish-brown with a strong, tart, earthy and lemony scent.

10 drops Citronella essential oil

10 drops lemongrass essential oil

10 drops tea tree essential oil

5 drops lavender essential oil

Top off with 1:1 water/witch hazel in a 4 oz bottle. Shake and spray to keep bugs away.

Recipes:

Cinnamon Sugar Scrub

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/2 tsp. Pure Vanilla extract

3 drops Cinnamon Bark

Combine the cinnamon oil, vanilla extract, and sugar together until all ingredients are well mixed. Slowly add the coconut oil until the mixture is the desired consistency and texture. Apply to skin in a gentle circular motion. Rinse off and moisturize as usual.

Store in a glass container in a dark cool place. 

Cilantro coriandrum sativum

Extraction Method- Steam Distillation

Description: Coriander and Cilantro come from the same plant but are extracted in different ways. Cilantro comes from the leaves (coriander from the seeds)

Properties: Analgesic, antioxidant, antispasmodic, aperitif, bactericidal, digestive, carminative, fungicidal, revitalizing, stimulant, stomachic

Historical Uses: Used in many different cultures in cooking from salsa to spices, Cilantro has also been used in Chinese medicine for its digestive and antioxidant properties.

Order Eliminating Diffuser Blend

1 drop Melaleuca

1 drop Lime

1 drop White Fir

1 drop Cilantro

Lime Cilantro Rice

2 cups water 

1 tablespoon butter

1 cup white rice

2 drops Lime 

1 drop Cilantro

Directions: Bring water to a boil, stir in butter and rice into water. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer until rice is tender, approximately 20 mins. 

Add 2 drops of lime essential oil and 1 drop of cilantro essential oil to the cooked rice, stir and serve. 

Description: Cedarwood has a soft, woody pencil like smell. It is similar to sandalwood and has a light yellow / orange color and is quite viscous.
