Helichrysum Essential Oil

Helichrysum is known as the “everlasting” or “immortal” oil, and is generally found in the Mediterranean, India, and the Balkans. The oil comes from the stems and leaves of the plant and has been used for medicinal purposes, but is highly revered for its regenerative and protective benefits in skin care. 

Helichrysum is traditionally favored as an anti-inflammatory, antifungal and an antimicrobial. It is known to help promote wound healing, fight skin infections, reduce inflammation, help with allergy symptoms, fight colds and coughs, stomach and digestive issues, burns, acid reflux, and constipation. Helichrysum is prominently used in many anti-aging products for its effectiveness in promoting healthy skin cell growth and regeneration. 

How is it used?

*Add a few drops to a warm bath to help with muscle aches and pains

*Apply topically to reduce the appearance of blemishes, fine lines, and wrinkles. Gives a glowing youthful complexion and appearance. Add to a base cream or moisturizer to help fight dermatitis, acne and improve the healing of scars.

*Diffusing Helichrysum instills peace and tranquility and aids in releasing emotional trauma.

Helichrysum is considered to generally be safe and to have virtually no adverse side effects however, it should be used with a carrier oil such as coconut or almond oil before applying to the skin. 

Recipes

Anti-Aging Serum:

• 1/2 oz Rosehip Seed Oil
• 1/2 oz Jojoba Oil
• 1/4 oz Grapeseed Oil
• 5 Drops Vitamin E
• 7 Drops Geranium
• 5 Drops Helichrysum

Add ingredients into 2oz bottle with dropper. Shake to mix. Apply to face at night.

Wound Care:

• 4 Drops Lavender
• 2 Drops Helichrysum
• 2 Drops Frankincense
• 2 drops Melaleuca
• Top off with Fractionated Coconut Oil

Mix in a 15ml bottle with dropper. Apply blend to wounds as needed.
